Our boss Jun san and Manager Tomoko san has visited India last week! They have visited Hope Community School in New Delhi, which supports poor families to give their children education. Whitestone has been donating to support this project by TejasAsia.

☆7 Interesting Facts about Christmas in Japan☆
Japanese has a very different way of celebrating Christmas compared to the western traditions. If you are non-Japanese and it is your first time spending christmas in Japan you might be suprised how they celebrate this important event.
Here are some interesting facts about Japanese Christmas.
1. Christmas is more of a time to spread happiness rather than religious celebration as not many people are christians.
2. Christmas is not a national holiday in Japan like most country do. Schools and businesses are normally on open on December 25th.
3. Christmas is not for family but for couples. Christmas eve resembles Valentine’s Day celebration in the USA. You can find a lot of young couples dating and having a romantic meal in a fancy restaurant instead of spending time with family members.
4. Christmas is mostly a commercial event in Japan. Illuminations are seen at many cities and famous places to attract customers.
5. KFC’s fried chicken is the main Christmas Dish. Most Japanese thinks that people in other countries also eats chicken on Chirstmas and having the same tradition! Japanese in line for KFC
6. A lot of Japanese have “Christmas Cake” on Chirstmas day. Usually, cakes are made of sponge and decorated with strawberries and whipped cream. Cake and KFC’s chicken on Christmas
