☆The June Bride☆

Weddings celebrated during the month of June started over two thousand years ago, back to early Roman times!! On June 1st, they celebrated and honor Juno, goddess of marriage and childbirth.

During the 1500s, June was the time when people came outdoors after a long winter and bathed. However, even with the recent bath, Brides would carry fragrant bouquets of flowers to hide their body odor, which is where the tradition of carrying flowers comes from.

Wedding ceremonies recectly, however, are celecrated differently. In Japan, the average cost of a Japanese wedding is 3,830,000 yen!! Guests are also expected to give cash of 30,000 as gift called “Oshugi”.
